Bar Kapra: The Squirrel Hunter
Sound Design and Composition
@Montreal (2016)
Engaging the senses through multimedia, Bar Kapra the Squirrel Hunter is a parable of revenge about two feuding squirrel hunters and the protégé torn between them. Past the blue field and the melting tree, there’s a snowy mountain covered with pines where they have been working for years to rid the forest of squirrels. Bar Kapra (Chip Chuipka) hunts the squirrels, Bat Kapra (France Rolland) bags the corpses and Trout (Jennifer Roberts) disposes of them. One day an argument ensues between Bar and Bat over his methods of hunting. Their squirrelly actions draw us into their absurdist realm.
